Alexis Shaughnessy, Lead Vocals

With a deep love for music across many genres, Alexis brings a versatile style to the stage. She thrives on connecting with the crowd with a main goal to get everyone on their feet and feel the music in their souls. As lead singer of Sign Hill of South San Francisco, Alexis aimed to keep audiences engaged and energized, while belting out Rock Songs for the ages. As a member of ?Hi-Funkshun, she is excited  to  mix it up and share their love for music and bring diverse sounds and high energy to every performance.

Brendan Whelen, Guitar & Vocals

Brendan joined the band armed with his arsenal of killer tones, textures and effects. An interest in many styles of music, including blues, jazz, classic rock, hard and progressive rock styles, plus a lifetime of engineering and performing in the heart of Silicon Valley, have led him to perfect his guitar rig and shredding style. He's right in the pocket with our deep grooves so we are stoked to have him.

DeeDee Kato, Keyboards & Vocals

DeeDee's musical journey began as a violinist in San Francisco, where she excelled at the SF Conservatory of Music and earned the coveted Concert Master position in high school. Though a computer science degree at UC Berkeley briefly diverted her path, DeeDee's passion for music rekindled with jazz piano. Years of performing in piano trios honed her skills, and now, as a top-40 dance band keyboardist, she seamlessly blends her technical computer expertise with the versatile Korg Kronos keyboard. Delivering authentic sounds, infectious energy, and classic grooves, DeeDee's keyboard playing adds depth and texture to the band's dynamic performances.

Dennis O'Keefe,  Drums & Vocals

Dennis is a Bay Area native, a multi-instrumentalist that has played in various groups since the early ’90s. Starting out as a classically-trained pianist at a young age, he picked up drums later on in high school to fill a missing spot in a band with friends. It stuck and became his instrument of choice for live performances. His influences behind the kit include David Garibaldi, Danny Carey, Carter Beauford, Steve Gadd and a host of jazz masters. He enjoys jazz piano and music theory in his down time, and occasionally takes on piano students.

Tom, Bass Guitar & Vocals

“So many great songs, so little time!” Tom comes from a family of musicians, and in his early years he learned to play wind instruments all while teaching himself guitar. His real passion is music with a beat, which led him to learn the bass.

Tom has played in local bands such as the The Distractions and Jimmy Hit the Wall, Full On, Tehya, Above the Law, Sin Dokumentos, Robots with Issues, the Hummers and most recently an eight year stretch with NO STATIC. Tom is keen to learn and play a variety of music, appreciating that “there is hardly a genre that doesn’t produce some great music once you get it.” Rock, funk, pop, Latin, indie, country, even disco and smooth jazz are all in his wheelhouse. Early influences include Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Santana, The Eagles, The Rippingtons and Sade, but his all-time favorite band is Steely Dan. Watching people having a good time dancing is what keeps him going
